Vehicle Salvage....!
Salvage is the trade term for accident damaged vehicles.
Anyone selling salvage as a buisness or trade must be registered with their local authority as a Motor Salvage Dealer. They have to keep records of who they buy from and who they sell to and they must allow the police and other agencies complete access to their records at any time.
All salvage vehicles are sold in an unroadworthy condition and it is the Buyers responsibility to insure that the vehicle is NOT used on a public road untill it is fit to do so.
All salvage is sold without any warranty what-so-ever and it is the Buyers responsibility to inspect, and satisfy themselves that it is fit for their end use. White Horse Carbreakers are not qualified vehicle engineers and cannot give an accurate prediction to whether a vehicle is repairable or not. The responsibility lies solely with the Buyer to either inspect, or satisfy through their own independant third party, the likely hood of repair. There are no refunds on salvage vehicles.
All salvage vehicles unless otherwise notified come directly from leading insurance companies. They have subsequently been written off for a number of reasons. Either because of the extent of the damage and the age and mileage of the car or because it is uneconomical to repair the vehicle. The classifications commonly known as Cat A, Cat B, Cat C and Cat D are set by the insurance companies Vehicle Engineers and once set cannot be altered. White Horse have no discretion over these classifications.
Cat A= Seriously damaged and not suitable for repair. Scrapped.
Cat B= Break only, these Vehicles cannot be sold to the general public under any circumstances and will only be sold in parts. Scrapped.
Cat C= Damaged but suitable for repair, Cat C will need to be inspected by your local VOSA agency before a V5 can be issued
Cat D= Stolen recovered or damaged but suitable for repair, a V5 is often supplied, no VOSA check is required.
Only buy Category C and D vehicles, you will not be able to relicense Cat A or B vehicles.
We at White Horse Carbreakers bare no responsibilities for inaccurate descriptions placed by third party advertisers and we reserve the right to withdraw without notice any and all salvage vehicles from sale.
